Dogs love to run freely in open areas and what can be a better place to let them off the leash than a serene beach? Although most of the beaches in Cape Town have a no-dog policy, some beaches welcome dogs with open arms. However, you will need to take special note of the fact that while some of the beaches only have a particular time for dogs, others allow the animals only on leashes. But there are also beaches where dogs are allowed to run free.
In this blog, we will take a look at the top five beaches in Cape Town where you can take your dog for a stroll.
Clifton features four different beaches, which is why you will have to make sure to visit the right one (Clifton 1st) as not all of them allow dogs. As the water in Clifton 1st Beach comes straight from the Antarctic, it can be bitterly cold. Therefore, be watchful if your dog tries to take a dip in the water.
