Question from Mirna
A strange cat has started living in our garden and we have been giving him food. He has not been neutered yet. However, this causes my house cat lots of stress. He scratches and licks continuously and does not want to leave the house. He is also very restless. Will it help to give him some calming medication as I dont think the new cat will be leaving soon
Our Vet Says:
Dear Mima,

Thanks for approaching us.

The scratching and itching in the new cat may be due to two reasons - Flea and tick infestations or Anxiety condition.

You can treat him with Calmeze liquid or spray for anxiety. And, if you find any tick or flea then treat him with topical flea and tick solution.

Hope this will help to relieve the new cat from scratching and licking.
